Harold Wayne Yantis 75 of Danville, IL, formerly of Findlay, IL, passed away at 2: 40 AM Thursday Feb. 23, 2012 in North Logan Health Center in Danville, IL.A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday Feb. 25, 2012 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay.Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery.Memorials can be made to the Dream Foundation of Passages Hospice.

Wayne was born May 2, 1936 in Shelby County, IL the son of Willis Ray and Leota Williams Yantis.

Surviving are his children: Vicky Gibson and husband Jack of McLean, IL, Jeff Yantis and wife Jeannene of Arthur, IL, Missy Armstrong and husband Todd of Neoga, IL, Clayton Yantis and wife Jessica of Veedersburg, IN and James Yantis and wife Ashley of Mililani, HI; step-daughter Brandy Geiger of Charleston, IL; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister Mary Naber and husband Fred of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, longtime companion Betty Hooper and step-

father Ezra “Bud” Brown.

Wayne graduated from Findlay High School in the Class of 1953.He served his country in the United States Army.

He was a grain and livestock farmer raising grain crops, cattle and sheep. He formerly was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Decatur, IL. He loved coon hunting and working with his horses.
