Glen Curtis Wooters 88, of Findlay, IL, passed away at 5:45 AM Friday Jan. 2, 2015 in Mason Point in Sullivan, IL.

Glen was born January 3, 1926 in Moweaqua, IL the son of Glen H. “Busty” and Gladys Pontius Wooters.

He married Mary Jane Wycoff on Feb. 2, 1951 in Akin, SC and she passed away July 5, 2013.

Glen was a lifelong farmer and a successful businessman.Along the way he owned and operated Wooter`s Lumberyard in Findlay and Sullivan Auto Parts in Sullivan, IL.He was licensed real estate appraiser and insurance broker.

Glen served his country during the Korean War as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army Signal Corp.He was a member of Faith Covenant Church in Findlay, the oldest member of the Findlay American Legion Post, a 32nd Degree Mason and lifetime member of the Moweaqua Masonic Lodge. Surviving are three sons: Gene (Tickie) Wooters, Glenn (Connie) Wooters and Duane Wooters all of Findlay; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane, his parents and brothers: George Wooters and Wayne Wooters.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Monday Jan. 5, 2015 in Wright Cemetery near Findlay.Pastor Mike Reynolds will officiate.Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay is entrusted with arrangements.Memorials may be made in Glen’s memory to Faith Covenant Church.Thanks to the caregivers of Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice and the wonderful staff of Mason Point in Sullivan.On line
