Dorothy M. Wilson 88 of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 6:30 PM Monday April 19, 2010 in the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville.

Dorothy was born May 31, 1921 on her family farm in Todds Point Township, Shelby County, IL, the daughter of Gilbert and Martha M. Schlobohm Wilson.

Dorothy graduated form Findlay High School and Browns Business College in Decatur, IL.She began working in offices of the Wabash Railroad in Decatur, and she retired from her career as an administrative assistant for the Cotton Belt Railroad in St. Louis, MO. She lived most of her life in Collinsville, IL and moved to Decatur in 2001.

Dorothy was, in her younger years, a member of St. Mary’s Methodist Church near Findlay.

She was an avid reader and a great St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan.

Surviving are a sister Frances Anderson of Batavia, IL; sister-in-law Joyce G. Wilson of Shelbyville; nephews Stuart Wilson and wife Ann of Findlay and Roger Anderson and wife Pat of Geneva, IL; three great nieces: Robyn, Amy and Ellen.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gilberta Wilson, brother Dean Wilson and niece Karen Anderson.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday May 2, 2010 in Findlay Cemetery. Rev. Tom Compton will officiate.Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay in entrusted with arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Findlay United Methodist Church.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff of the Shelbyville Manor for their loving care and attention given to Dorothy while she was in residence.
