Virginia May Venters, 91, of Shelbyville passed away at 6:43 a.m. Saturday (January 23, 2010) in the Heritage Manor, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Pastor Cathy Minor officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes.
She was born May 19 1918 in Mattoon the daughter of Neal Eugene and Lilly (Cook) Anderson. She married Jesse Eldred Venters, October 25, 1940 in Rock Island.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Shelbyville.
Surviving are here husband, Eldred; daughter, Darlene Woodworth of Springfield; sons, Daniel Venters (Ann) of Indianola, David Venters, (Sharon) of Lawrenceville and Donald Venters (Dee) of Spaulding; sister, Pauline Davis of League City, TX; grandchildren, Staci Blanchard (Russell) ofMorgan City, CA, Tina Fraembs of Springfield, VA, Chris Venters (Monica) of Monticello, IN, Angela Jones (Scott) of Westminster, CA, Andy Venters (Emily) of Monticello, IN, Andrea Van Leer (Jeff) of Fairmount, Allan Venters (Hailey) of Bentonville, AR, Aaron Venters (Emily) of Morrison, Annette Morgan (Aric) of Loveland, CO, Tashina Venters of Carlinville, Shane Dunlap (Kim) of Princeton, IN, Krista Brown of Vincennes, IN and Robbie Britton of Owensboro, KY; 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, great-great-grandson, Daniel Scott Brown II and brothers, Eugene and Neal Junior Anderson.
