Samuel Ray Taylor, 65, of Windsor was called home by our Almighty God while sleeping peacefully on December 30, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund in Samís honor; % Shelby County State Bank, Windsor.

Sam was born to Raymond and Florence (Curry) Taylor on January 31, 1946 in Mattoon. He was united in the presence of God with his soul mate, Mary Taylor (Williams) on January 25, 1969 in Lincoln

Sam leaves behind his wife and four children and their spouses, Barak Taylor and wife, Erin, Timothy Taylor and wife, Amy, Tamara Mashaw and husband, Tom and Bart Taylor and wife, Carrie. Sam also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Mathew, Marcus, Grace, Kristina, Victoria, Andrew and Emma Taylor and Alexis Mashaw; brothers, Ed Taylor and wife Sharon and Wesley Taylor.

Sam was a graduate of Windsor High School and received a Degree in Ministry from Lincoln Christian College. He then ministered at Westervelt Christian Church, Havre, Montana Christian Church, youth minister at Malta, Montana Christian Church, Humboldt Christian Church and then was employed by Brachs until they closed and then Agri-Fab until he retired. He was a member of the Shelby Christian Church.

Sam was a humble man of God who was loved by many. He is now resting at the side of our Lord and will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace, Dad. We loved you.
