Irene Caroline Storm 96, of Shelbyville, IL, formerly of Windsor, IL, passed away at 1:44 AM Wednesday June 1, 2011 in Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, IL.

Irene was born June 28, 1914 at Shumway, IL the daughter of Theodore and Laura Rentfrow Lawrence.

She married Donald Storm on Jan. 22, 1939 at Altamont, IL and he passed away June 13, 1987.

Irene was, first and foremost, a loving farm wife and mother who made her family the center of her world.She was a long time member of the Ash Grove Christian Church near Windsor and, in later years, when she moved to Shelbyville, attended the First Christian Church of Shelbyville.She had many friends and was, formerly, active in Shelby County Home Extension and was a volunteer for Lincolnland Hospice.

Surviving are her children: David M. ( Helen Yakey) Storm of Stewardson, IL, Judy (Don) Behl of Shelbyville and Margaret “Susie” (Bruce) Carruthers of Windsor ; grandchildren: Michael Storm, Marc( Renee) Storm, Shelby Storm, Christopher(Kim)Behl, Shane (Sara) Behl, Sarah (Phil) Crim, Ryan(Tisha) Behl, Nikki (Matt) Jones, Kevin (Jackie) Beitz, Shawn (Maggie) Beitz and Ashley Beitz; great grandchildren: Cody Fine, Bethany Fine, Zachary Behl, Reagan Behl, Cate Behl, Drew Behl, AlexBehl, Jack Behl, Ashlyn Behl, Ava Behl, Jarrett Jones, Noah Jones, Logan Jones and Madison Beitz.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, parents, son-in-law Bob Beitz, brothers: Carl Lawrence and Paul Lawrence, twin sister Ione Lawrence.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 4, 2011 in Ash Grove Christian Church near Windsor.Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville and from 10:30 AM Saturday until time of the service in the Church.Pastor Kevin Ray of First Christian Church of Shelbyville and Pastor Jim Dona of Ash Grove Christian Church will officiate.Burial will be in Cochran’s Grove Cemetery near Windsor.Memorials can be made to First Christian Church of Shelbyville or Ash Grove Christian Church.On line condolences may be directed to the family at
