Marie A Ross, 92, of Shelbyville passed away at 5:25 a.m. Friday (December 6, 2013) at the Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Center.
Private family services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Pastor Jay Huddleston officiating. The family requests casual attire. Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
She was born May 11, 1921 in Shelby County the daughter of Lemuel and Anna (Woods) Gordon. She married Robert Ross April 20, 1946 in Taylorville and he preceded her in death March 31, 1985.
She was formerly employed at Sta-Rite Ginnie Lou. She was a member of the Moulton Methodist Church, Shelby County Home Extension, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are daughter, Anna Blickem of Effingham; sons, Bruce Stephens of Orange Park, FL and Billy Stephens of Herrick; sisters, Mary Endsley of Shelbyville and Rita Mathis of Henton; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Sylvester, Alva, Noble and Lawrence Ray Gordon and sisters, Ruth Gustin and Olive Reynolds.
