Helen E. Randol, 87, of Sullivan passed away at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday (May 12, 2015) at the Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour before service time Friday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. The family requests casual attire. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Fund.

Helen was born February 19, 1928 in Moweaqua the daughter of Amon and Beulah Mae (Marmour) Adkins. She married Chester W. Randol March 17, 1946 in Shelbyville and he preceded her in death Janaury 9, 1978.

Helen was retired from Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. She enjoyed quilting, camping, deer hunting, bird watching and just being outside.

Surviving are sons, James (Marcia) Randol of Seymour, Jack Randol of Grassy, MO, and Bruce (Gail) Randol of Sullivan; daughter, Mary Clark of Lansing, MI; brothers, Edward Adkins of ORand Keith Adkins of WI; sister, Dorothy Day and Margie VanMeter of Lewistown, MO and Juanita Hayes of MO; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Harley Adkins and Glen Adkins and sisters, Betty Jeffers and Nellie Bernath.
