Frank E. Rand, 91, of Sullivan formerly of Gays passed away at 11:20 a.m. Friday (May 14, 2010) in the Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Waggoner Cemetery near Gays. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor. Memorials may be made to the donorís choice.

He was born July 26, 1918 in Moultrie County the son of Eben and Ola (Welch) Rand. He married Edna Mildred Neff February 20, 1941 in St. Charles, MO and she preceded him in death April 17, 1985.

He served in the US Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was formerly employed by Kite Woodworking and Door Company in Sullivan.

Surviving are son, Charles Rand of Latham; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife daughter-in-law, Eleanor, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
