Doris M. Olson, 97, of Windsor passed away at 11:24 p.m. Thursday (May 9, 2013) at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Jim Dona officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice or Ash Grove Christian Church.
She was born September 30, 1915 in Findlay the daughter of Martsie and Edith (Spicer) Stevens. She married Gerald Olson January 26, 1935 in Shelbyville and he preceded her in death October 29, 2000.
She was a member of the Ash Grove Christian Church. She was a graduate of Findlay High School, formerly employed as an apprentice pharmacist at Shafer Drug Store, LPN at the Masonic Home and Shelby Memorial Hospital and worked with her husband in their service station. She enjoyed gardening, baking and crocheting.
Surviving are her daughters, Sue Bouck (Larry) of Windsor and Connie Murphy (John) of Lake Villa; daughter-in-law, Deb Olson of Milan; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Nels Olson, brother, Earl Stevens and sisters, Eileen Wheeler and Juanita Graven.
