Virginia Mulvaney, 74, of Windsor went home to be with the Lord at 10:01 p.m. Friday (December 14, 2012) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Coles County.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was born August 2, 1938 in Atwood the daughter of Sam and Minerva (Turner) Gully. She married Alva Mulvaney of Bement, June 2, 1970 in Tuscola.
Surviving are her husband, Alva; children, Rhonda Leona Mulvaney (fiancÚ, Robert Cutler) of Findlay, Jeremy Jodd Mulvaney (wife, Lisa Pollack) and their children, Alia Marie and Jordan Michael, and Joshua Aarron Mulvaney (wife, Mary Mann) and their children, Timothy Alan and Anakin Rodney of Windsor, Gerry Dean Cochran (wife Debra) and their children, Lora, Jason, Jamie, Joey, Johanna and Calvin of Michigan, Ricky Lee Cochran of Urbana; brother, Lynn Gully of Tuscola; sister, Betty Myers of Urbana; 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Rodney Alan Cochran, one sister and 6 brothers.
She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She also loved to read her bible, praising the Lord and doing daily devotionals. She always put God and family first.
