Alva L. Mulvaney, 80, of Windsor went to be with the Lord at 10:18 a.m. Monday (February 2, 2015) at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County.

He was born October 11, 1934 in Bement the son of Alpha and Leona Tipsword Mulvaney. He married Mary Virginia Mulvaney June 2, 1970 in Tuscola and she preceded him in death December 14, 2012.

He was a veteran serving in the US Army. He worked for Master Brand in Arthur for 30 years before retiring. He loved his grandchildren, Hank Williams music, singing and playing the guitar and the Lord.

He is survived by his children, Rhonda Cutler (Robert) of Findlay, Jeremy Mulvaney (Lisa) and Joshua Mulvaney (Mary) both of Windsor; step-children, Gerry Dean Cochran of Michigan and Ricky Lee Cochran of Urbana; sisters, Velma Cash of Oakland and Judy Jones of Mattoon; brother, Ivan Mulvaney of Arthur; 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step-son, Rodney Cochran, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home Windsor with Rev. Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be made to the family.
