Harold E. Macklin, 97, of Findlay passed away at 3:50 p.m. Thursday (November 20, 2014) at the Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Findlay. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the Findlay United Methodist Church or the Findlay Ambulance and Fire District.

Harold was born May 27, 1917 in Todds Point, Shelby County the son of Roy and Mabel (Hancock) Macklin. He married Monte June Small February 15, 1941 in St. Charles, MO and she preceded him in death September 15, 2005.

Harold was a member of the Findlay United Methodist Church, Lions Club, Shelby County Farm Bureau and served on the board of the Findlay Bank and Shelby Memorial Hospital. He farmed and raised livestock. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are brother, Leroy Macklin of Findlay; sister, Margie Benner of Mt. Zion; 13 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, children, Beverly and James; and sisters, Mary Johnson and Pat Coleman.
