Steven J. Lynch 61 of Findlay, IL, passed away at 6:05 AM Monday Jan. 17, 2011 in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday Jan. 20, 2011 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. with full military honors.Memorials can be made to the Family.

Steve was born May 28, 1949 at Pana, IL the son of Dewey “Gene” and Evaun Gilmore Lynch.

Steve was a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and received two purple hearts.He was so very proud of his service to his Country.

He was an outdoorsman who loved bass fishing, manicuring his yard, playing golf and riding his Harley-Davidson. Steve worked in the construction industry.

He married Tamara Hammel on May 28, 1977 in Decatur, IL and she survives.Also surviving are his children: Eric Lynch and wife Deanna of Kansas City, MO, Matthew Lynch of Findlay, Lincoln Lynch of Shelbyville and Dylan Lynch of Findlay; grandchildren: Brayden Lynch, Brooklyn Lynch, Brenna Lynch, Decon Lynch, Kristin Lynch, Collin Lynch and Lincoln Lynch; mother Evaun Lynch of Vandalia, IL; sister Laurie Hubbartt and husband Bill of Shelbyville; brothers: Michael Lynch and wife Cathy of Sullivan, David Lynch and wife Martha of Bryan, TX and Tim Lynch of Orlando, FL.

He was preceded in death by his father Dewey “Gene” Lynch, sister Patti, nephew Zachary and sister-in-law Debi Lynch
