Duane E. Larrew, 78, of Mattoon died at 8:32 a.m. Thursday (November 3, 2011) at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Heath Care Center, Coles County.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Keith Mackintosh officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He was born February 14, 1933 in Moultrie County the son of Kellie L. and Etha J. (Carr) Larrew. He married Martha Kaley, April 16, 1956 in Mattoon and she preceded him in death, May 4, 2004.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Sullivan United Methodist Church, the Mattoon American Legion and served in the US Air Force and Air National Guard.

Surviving are brothers, Kellie (Ruth) Larrew of St. Augustine, FL and Leo (Minnie) Larrew of Fruitland, WA; sisters, Norma (Jesse) Icenogle and Phyllis (Jerry) Finley both of Mattoon; special friend, Janey Davis of Mattoon; sister-in-law, Mary L. (Charles) Coleman of Pana; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Charles.
