Les “L.D.” Kline, 69, of Beecher City passed away at 12:55 a.m. Monday (March 7, 2011) at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Beecher City. Private graveside services will be held in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Moccasin with Pastor Peewee Denton officiating. Memorials may be made to the family or donor’s choice.
He was born July 24, 1941 in Assumption the son of Guy Bryan and Ethel Elsa (Logue) Kline. He married Mary Ann Grames April 13, 2002 in Fayette County.
He was a member of the St. Elmo Masonic Lodge, Ansar Shrine in Danville and was retired from Howell Asphalt.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; daughters, Gloria Harris (Randy) of Piedmont, MO and Connie Sharp (Kent) of Beecher City; grandchildren, Randy Harris of Piedmont, MO, Desirae Long (Jerrod) of Vandalia, Chris Blunt (Ashley) of Vandalia, Shane Sharp of Beecher City and Michael Harris of Australia; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Delbert and Rodell.
