Carole Marie Kirkpatrick, 73 of Beecher City died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday (June 8, 2011) in St. Johnís Hospital, Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Effingham. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Beecher City.
She was born April 30, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Edgar Earl and Meredith Harrison (Hall) Stevens. She was married to Ray Charlesworth and Charles Kirkpatrick and both preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Order of the Eastern Star, Vandalia for 17 years. She served as a correctional officer at Vandalia for over 20 years.She was an avid bowler, loved water sports and helping people.
Surviving are her children, Vickie Baumann (Jerry) of Arcola, Dennis Earl Charlesworth of Vandalia, Rae Lyn Garcia (Miguel) of San Antonio, TX and Cheryl Ann Reynolds of Beecher City; brothers and sisters, Harold Stevens (Charlene) of Ohio, Peggy Smith of Beecher City, Dorothy LeDuc (Jack) of Utah, Richard Stevens (Barb) of Colorado, Alice Wicks of Oregon, Bob Stevens (Judy) of Washington and Edith Runkel (Carl) of Vandalia; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and one infant son.
