Mr. Rolla M. Kelly, 95, of Shumway passed away at 10:57 p.m. Sunday (April 3, 2011) at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, Shumway with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Shumway. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church.Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Lutheran Care Center, Altamont or the charity of donorís choice. Arrangements are by Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson.

He was born in Effingham County on April 6, 1915 the son of Roy and Anna (Brummerstedt) Kelly, which means he was 3 days short of his 96th birthday.

He married Edna Kirchhofer on February 26, 1938 and she preceded him in death August 8, 1990. On October 17, 1992 he married Frances Antrim.

Mr. Kelly was a self-employed farmer his entire adult life, until his retirement. He was active in his community, including serving as President of Effingham County Farm Bureau, Chairman of his church, Faith Lutheran Church in Shumway and many other civic positions.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, two sons Ray (Becky) Kelly of Shumway and Roger (Mary) Kelly of Indianapolis; 8 step-children, Nancy (Jim) Sporleder, Bev (Delbert) Soltwedel, Lon (Nancy) Antrim, Don (Marcella) Antrim, Paul (Melissa) Antrim, Dave (Mary) Antrim, Ken (Nancy) Antrim and Barb (Michael) Brownback; 4 grandchildren, Dee (Mark) Newton of Austin, TX, Kent Kelly and Kristie (Tom) Clark of Indianapolis, IN, and Ronald (Loralee) Kelly of Shumway; 31 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 49 step-great-grandchildren.

His first wife, Edna Kelly, son, Terry Kelly and brother, Eugene Kelly predecease him.
