Ora D. Janke, 72, of Shelbyville passed away at 4:55 a.m. Sunday (April 25, 2010) in the Shelbyville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. The family requests casual attire. Memorials may be made to the Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

He was born March 21, 1938 in LaSalle County the son of Ora and Helen (Snyder) Janke. He married Patsy I. (Green) Davis June 16, 1991 in Shelbyville.

He attended the Cornerstone Community Fellowship and was a lifetime member of the Bass Club. He was retired from Pilkington Glass in Ottawa, former bus driver for Shelby County Community Services and fishing guide for 25 years on Lake Shelbyville.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy; son, Raymond Janke (Susan) of Marseilles; daughters, Dorothy Roberts and Carol Husted of Struce Pine, NC; stepsons, Richard Davis (Jeri) and Dale Davis of Sullivan and Ronnie Davis (Brandy) of Shelbyville; sister, Joyce Pollett of Streator; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents of Marseilles, sister, Donna Babcock of Marseilles and step-son Jimmy Meiners of Streator.
