Dean Frederick Frizzell, 84, of Windsor Illinois, passed away May 23, 2011.

Dean was born June 6, 1926, in Windsor, son of William F. Frizzell and Suzanne F. (Stitz) Frizzell.He lived in Windsor until age 14 when he moved to Madison, Illinois.

He is a graduate of Madison High school in 1944.After graduation, he joined the Army where he served in Europe until his discharge in 1946.At that time, he returned to Madison, Illinois where his parents resided.He also served in Washington State Guard in the 1970ís.

Dean worked for EA Freidman after discharge in 1946.He was a member of Madison Methodist Church where he met Imogene Webb, who was also a member.Dean was happily married to Imogene Webb from June 11, 1950 until she passed away on August 17, 2003.Dean is preceded in death by his brothers Edward, Kenneth and sister, Miriam.

Dean moved his family to Washington in 1967 where he worked for Boeing until his retirement in 1988. Until Dean moved back to Windsor in November of 2006, he volunteered at the Museum of Flight restoration facility in Everett, WA.He helped to restore a Boeing 247D originally made in 1933.He was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church.He was a member of the American Legion post in Marysville and Windsor.

Dean is survived by his 4 children:Cheryl (Brent) Garrett of Spokane WA., Cindy (Ken) Schneider of Arlington WA., Keith (Randi) Frizzell of Everett WA., and Karen Frizzell of Windsor, Il., 6 Grandchildren Steve (Margaret) Garrett, Valerie (Paul) Cross, Kimberly Garrett, Marissa Schneider, Matthew Frizzell, and Brianna Schneider, and 2 great-grandchildren, Landon Paul Cross and Alan Arthur Cross of Everett, WA.

Private family burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery with Pastor Cathy Minor officiating and military rites. Arrangements are by Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.
