Donald G. Cole, 80, of Shelbyville passed away at 3:40 p.m. Saturday (May 22, 2010) at the Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Don will be cremated and burial will be at a later date. Honorariums may be made to the Shelby Christian Church or the charity of your choice.

Don was born May 19, 1930 to James Wesley Cole and Cora Lee Johnson in Sullivan.

Don served in the US Army and was a member of the Shelby Christian Church. He worked at various jobs over his lifetime including 30 years for Connelly’s Building Center and about 10 years for the Corps of Engineers as a gate keeper.

Don is survived by his sister, Wilma Camfield and husband Lawrence of Findlay, his brother, James Cole of Sullivan, daughter, Gail Cole of Charleston and Cody Cole of Shelbyville, several nieces and nephews and his partner/care giver, Connie McNabb.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wives, Betty, Nancy and Loleta.
