Paul James Bly, 63, of Shelbyville passed away at 11:37 p.m. Sunday (September 26, 2010) at the Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Kirk officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery in Montrose. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

He was born October 25, 1946 in Shelbyville the son of Harold Eugene and Eileen (Skiff) Bly. He married Mary Lou Henon June 14, 1997 in Shelbyville.

He was retired from CSX Railroad after more than 30 years.

Surviving are wife, Mary; daughter, Mindie Calhoun of Trilla; step-sons, Albion Brown of Clinton and Norman Brown of Flora; step-daughter, Jackie Bonnell of Dixon; sisters, Shirley Young of Charleston, Patty Fritts and Rose Gesell both of Mattoon and Ellen Colbert of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
